Fans were completely bemused with Disney after they first fired actor Jonathan Majors, and then offered him a special interview.

The saga of Disney and actor Jonathan Majors has become one that has dragged on for months. The latter was embroiled in a case of domestic abuse and, finally, was found guilty of two misdemeanor counts of harassment and assault. As soon as Majors was found guilty, Disney dropped him from their Marvel contract immediately… just to give him an exclusive interview on another platform weeks later.

Fans Bemused at Disney’s New Jonathan Majors Interview

Recently, it was announced that Good Morning America was going to feature Mr. Majors’s first interview since the assault conviction from a jury in New York. The trailer for the interview was recently released and it’s complete with a dramatic voice-over and emotional music in the background.

The trailer opens with the interviewer asking Mr. Majors, “Why did you decide you want to talk now?”

While the trailer doesn’t give us any glimpses into Mr. Majors’ answers, it certainly hypes up the disgraced actor’s position, claiming to give fans an “emotional exclusive” into his reaction to the verdict.

As it turns out, fans were incredibly unimpressed with the turn of events, pointing out Disney’s hypocrisy.

Jonathan Majors was found guilty of assaulting and harassing his ex-girlfriend, Grace Jabbari. Majors was arrested in March 2023 after he allegedly assaulted Jabbari in the backseat of a car. However, Mr. Majors’ defense attorney, Priya Chaudhry, tried arguing that it was Majors himself who was assaulted that night in the car and not the other way around.

As it stands right now, Majors has been dropped from Marvel Studios, and Monday morning will bring a new perspective to this story.
