The latest from critics online has Disney “spreading propaganda and lies,” “creating a revolution,” and more in the United States.

The Walt Disney Company has been facing criticism from various parties about its policies and actions as a company for a few years now. Whether it’s Disney speaking out about the “Don’t Say Gay” law (known officially as Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis’s Parental rights in Education Act) or Disney’s supposed “woke agenda,” there has been a lot that fans have been frustrated about.

Fan Slings New Criticism at Disney

Recently, in a post from a fan who had ostensibly been to Tokyo Disney Resort and faced a challenging situation there, one X user responded with what can only be described as an interesting critique of the Walt Disney Company.

The fan wrote in Japanese,

At the restaurant, cast members repeatedly told empty seats not to sit down until sanitation work was completed, but what is sanitation work? You mean wait until I finish collecting pixie dust? It’s difficult to eat outside due to strong winds, but there are no seats and I’m forced to buy only the products and then taken outside, leaving me at a loss. Disneyland is the toughest place in the world for customers.

In response to this complaint and frustration, another Disney fan commented, “The people who now control Disney are very evil. They are working very hard to create revolution in this country. They are NHK’s and India’s news partners, and all they do is spread propaganda and lies…and charge excessive amounts for their parks yet refuse to hire enough emp.”

This isn’t the first time this kind of criticism has been levied at the Mouse House. To be honest, it’s a frequent allegation especially from those who feel like Disney’s efforts to be more inclusive in their representation are unwarranted and constitute “pandering to a woke audience.”

This said, the Mouse House is certainly paying attention to the overarching theme of these kinds of comments, evidenced by Disney CEO Bob Iger admitting that Disney has gotten too involved in politics (specifically referencing the situation in Florida).

Only time will tell what the future holds for the company.
