Fans were shocked at a five-hour wait time for a Disneyland ride that they thought was worth only “5 minutes or less.”
One of the best parts of a Disney vacation is enjoying the various rides and attractions on offer no matter which Disney Park you visit—the Walt Disney World Resort or the Disneyland Resort. But when at a Disney resort, certain rides are universally agreed upon to be some of the best Disney rides. And others that are… less so.
However, one ride recently posted a five-hour wait time, surprising many fans.

Mater’s Jingle Jamboree Posts Five-Hour Wait
Mater’s Jingle Jamboree is an attraction in Cars Land in Disney California Adventure Park in the Southern California Disney Resort. Until January 7, 2024, guests can “Enjoy a haul-iday tractor spin through Mater’s festively decorated junkyard in Cars Land.” The ride in its current holiday overlay has been on offer since November 10, 2023.
While the ride is certainly appreciated by many, it’s not one of the stereotypical rides that comes to mind when thinking of Disneyland. Yet, recently, the ride posted a 300-minute wait time.

Fans Rally in Support of the Ride
However, while some might be surprised by this, devoted fans spoke out in support of Mater’s Jingle Jamboree. One commented, “Finally this ride is getting the attention it deserves. That’s not sarcasm, I LOVE this ride. It’s impossible not to be happy on it.”
Another shared, “we went on it for the first time a few months ago and i love the way it whips you around, i agree you can’t help but laugh on it (:”
However, some also refused to believe that the ride actually had that much of a wait time. Some cast members in the comments dropped in to add their insight, sharing that CMs manually update wait times, and so this 300-minute wait time was more likely a typo on the part of a cast member.

A cast member chimed in to explain how they had once mistyped the wait time for another Disney ride. They shared, “CMs type in those numbers by hand (it has nothing to do with the red cards; those are for internal metrics only). They probably made a typo. I once set Star Tours to a 900-minute wait instead of a 90-minute one.”
Ultimately, one of the best things about Disney is how diverse the offerings are at a Disney Park. Different people from all around the world can enjoy the Disney experience no matter what their choice of ride and entertainment. And that’s what the Disney magic is all about!
