Closures are routine in the Disney Parks, and now Disney has revealed that two water-themed attractions in EPCOT will be closing for a while.
The Walt Disney World Resort is known to be the “Most Magical Place on Earth.” Each Theme Park at the Disney Resort— like Disney’s Hollywood Studios or Disney’s Animal Kingdom—is an immersive environment for Guests to take in the Disney experience and feel the Disney magic.
For Guests looking to really immerse themselves in nature, EPCOT is the Disney Park to go to. It offers a few in-depth encounters with water and the wildlife that inhabits it. Located inside The Seas with Nemo & Friends, EPCOT’s Seas Adventures is a great way to learn about marine life.
But in the latest update, these experiences will be going offline for quite some time.
Starting on January 13, 2023, EPCOT Seas Adventure tours will be unavailable and will not return for several months. DiveQuest and Dolphins in Depth will reopen in “mid-March,” after closing for refurbishments, according to Disney.
DiveQuest is a place where Guests can “immerse themselves in a scuba experience with guaranteed calm seas, no current, unlimited visibility, and incredible marine life and coral.”
From Disney,
Take the plunge at our 5.7-million-gallon saltwater aquarium at EPCOT, and swim with over 2,000 sea creatures. Clear waters and the absence of currents afford you amazing views of sea turtles, reef fish, stingrays and sharks.
The pavilion’s 56 giant windows make it possible for family members and friends with EPCOT admission to view your dive.
EPCOT Seas Adventures – DiveQuest lasts 2 hours, and you’ll spend approximately 40 minutes on your actual dive.
For Dolphins in Depth, Guests can expect a “fascinating and intimate 2-hour dolphin encounter.” During the experience, you’ll talk to the experts who care for and work with these bottlenose dolphins daily. Only eight Guests a day can enjoy this experience.
EPCOT is also home to “Guardians of the Galaxy: ,” “,” “The Pavilion.”
We at Disney Fanatic will report on all Disney news as it comes to light.
