
Who doesn’t love going to see a new Walt Disney Studio movie? Enter the new Disney Wish movie…
The Disney Wish Movie
Disney’s upcoming film Wish will hit theaters next week. The studio’s newest animated feature (and Disney Princess-style movie) stars the voice talents of Ariana DeBose as Asha, Chris Pine as King Magnifico, and Alan Tudyk as Valentino.

The animated film is an effort by the Walt Disney Company to return to its roots. Similar to classics like Aladdin and The Little Mermaid (1989), the Disney Wish movie will contain musical numbers, animal sidekicks, and an element of magic.

It follows the story of Asha, who lives in the Kingdom of Wishes and comes across a wishing star. The Disney Wish movie has an official release date of November 22, but select locations offer early access screenings as early as November 18.
The new Disney movie is directed by Chris Buck, who worked on Frozen and Frozen II. Fawn Veerasunthorn is also directing who worked on Raya and the Last Dragon.

Asha At Disney Parks
Arriving earlier this month at various Disney parks was the movie’s lead character, Asha. Walt Disney World Resort guests could meet her at the World Showcase at EPCOT.
Meanwhile, west coast visitors can soon find her at Disneyland Park and also in Disneyland Paris.
Disney Wish Water Show
It has recently been unveiled that guests visiting Disneyland Resort may have a chance for a unique event. A new water short featuring Wish will be presented nightly at Disney California Adventure Park. Just before the current nighttime show “World of Color – Season of Light,” guests can enjoy a quick homage to the new movie.

The pre-show experience uses several light and water effects to project images onto a mist screen (similar to the Fantasmic! show)

Asha and Star are seen in the projections shared by Disney Parks on social media. Guests who viewed the Wish pre-show last night (November 17) captured more details. The new show contains movie clips, showing Asha singing “This Wish” as lights and fountains move in synchronization.

The entire segment is about 3 minutes long and appears to contain the entire song track.
The Wish show also contains multiple scenes from the upcoming movie and concludes with “Only in theaters November 22”. The Walt Disney Company has positioned the song “This Wish” as one of the Disney movie’s primary tracks.
An official name for the Wish-themed pre-show has yet to be announced. There has also not been an announcement as to whether or not this Wish-themed show is coming to Orlando.
