After making waves with the release of Obi-Wan Kenobi earlier this year, Obi-Wan Kenobi: A Jedi’s Return will premiere next month on Disney Plus.
The fan-favorite Jedi Master, played by , will be returning to the screens for a behind-the-scenes look at the highly-anticipated and mixed-reviewed original series.

Per Disney Plus on YouTube,
“This special explores the return of Obi-Wan Kenobi and Anakin Skywalker to the screen, as well as Ewan McGregor and Hayden Christensen to their classic roles. Director Deborah Chow leads the cast and crew as they create new heroes and villains that live alongside new incarnations of beloved Star Wars characters, and an epic story that dramatically bridges the saga films.”

It appears the documentary will feature brand new behind-the-scenes footage from the prequel trilogy, in addition to , and will trace the entire journey of Obi-Wan Kenobi and .
Chow mentions in the trailer,
“I feel hugely fortunate to be able to do this, but also a huge responsibility to try to do it right.”
Good intentions notwithstanding, the first limited series received some positive but also enough negative reviews, including from a writer here at Disney Fanatic, where the writer said the highly anticipated series fell flat with its subpar acting and one-dimensional, unbelievable characters.

Here’s hoping Star Wars fans will get the experience they’re looking for with this special, or at the very least an explanation for why a stellar cast gave us the portrayal of our favorite Jedi Knight that they did.
