Photos Show Disney World Is Not So Magical During Holidays

While the holidays are certainly filled with magic, it appears visiting the Disney Parks right now is not quite the holiday experience Guests might imagine.

The Walt Disney World Resort is called “The Most Magical Place on Earth,” and for good reason. Pick any Disney Theme Park at the Disney Resort, it has myriad attractions, rides, and shows on offer for Guests to enjoy and indulge in. Think Cinderella Castle or “Haunted Mansion” in Magic Kingdom, “Spaceship Earth” in EPCOT, “Tower of Terror” in Disney’s Hollywood Studios, or lands like Pandora in Disney’s Animal Kingdom. Add in the magic of Christmas-time and the holidays, and all of these wonderful offerings are made that much more meaningful.

Recently, as reported by Inside the Magic, the Disney Theme Parks were crowded and filled to their absolute brim. While many Guests head to Walt Disney World to have their magical holiday Disney experience, so do hundreds and thousands of others. One Guest, Matthew Elfenbein, shared photos of the crowds at Magic Kingdom Park, where it reportedly took fifteen minutes to even get to the entrance of the Park. Imagine strolling down Main Street, U.S.A. during your Disney World vacation only to be confronted by the large Disney World crowds.

Another Guest, Chris Epifanio, shared photos at both EPCOT and Disney’s Animal Kingdom, where the situation is much the same. Guests who are waiting for the Candlelight Processional don’t appear to have a memorable experience awaiting them with this many people crowding the experience.

While any Disney Park is known to be crowded due to its popularity, Guests should bear in mind that there are many Guests who have the same idea of spending the holidays at these Parks, and experiencing the Parks would include navigating these intense crowds as well. Visiting Disney World during any holiday be that Christmas eve, Christmas Day, Christmas week, New Years Eve or even Independence Day is likely to come with a similar crowd.

We at Disney Fanatic will continue to report on all Disney news as it comes to light.
