One of the great things about vacationing at Walt Disney World Resort is all the incredible dining options. There are almost 400 places to eat — that’s right, 400! Disney World has something for nearly every palate — from Mexican, Japanese, French, vegetarian, sushi, and more. They also have something for every type of appetite and budget. During your Disney day, there are amazing snack options, counter-service options, and sit-down dining options. No matter what kind of eaters you have in your party, there is sure to be something for everyone!
For years, Guests who wanted to get the most out of their Disney World dining experience would purchase a Disney Dining Plan. There were several plans available depending on what kind of dining the party wanted — a Quick-Service plan, a plan that included sit-downs and quick-service, and a plan that focused on sit-down dining. Sadly, since reopening after the COVID-19 pandemic, no dining plan has been available.
However, that will change on January 9! Two dining plans will return — the Quick-Service Dining Plan and the Disney Dining Plan, which includes both sit-down and quick-service dining. And now, we know how much each plan will cost!
Dining Plans can now be added to vacations that will take place on or after January 9. Here is how much each plan will cost per day.
Quick-Service Dining Plan: $57 per adult / $23.83 per child (age 3-9)
Disney Dining Plan: $94.28 per adult / $29.69 per child (age 3-9)
The Disney Dining Plan is about 20% more expensive than it was before the COVID shutdown. However, the children’s pricing has actually decreased. Before the pandemic, the Disney Dining Plan would cost about $30.51 per child per day.
The Quick-Service Plan includes two quick-service meals per day, one snack per day, and one nonalcoholic drink per day. The Disney Dining Plan includes one sit-down meal per day, one quick-service meal per day, one snack per day, and one nonalcoholic drink per day. Each plan also includes a refillable mug that can be used at all Disney World Resort hotels.
Guests should also remember that all dining credits are given at the beginning of their trip and can be used as they want. Several can be used in one day, and none the next. It’s completely up to the Guest!
Again, the Disney Dining Plan packages will return on January 9 and can now be added to vacations happening on or after that date.
