Rare Characters Coming to New Disney After-Hours Event!

Visiting a Disney theme park is always a fun time. But sometimes Guests want something a little extra to make their trip especially memorable. One great way to do that is to purchase tickets to After-Hours events. At Disney World, certain theme parks have after-hours events in the summer. There is also Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party and Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party. Over at Disneyland Resort, there is Oogie Boogie Bash at Halloween, then in early spring and summer, there are Disneyland After Dark Events.

In the past, Disneyland After Dark events have been a huge hit, including Star Wars Nite, Princess Nite, Villains Nite, and Sweethearts Nite. This year, Disneyland After Dark is introducing a brand-new event — Pride Nite. Pride Nite will take place on June 13 and June 15. The event will take place from 9 p.m. until 1 a.m. and feature several unique experiences.

One of the best parts about Disneyland After Dark events is all of the great characters you get to meet. Disney uses these events to bring out some rare characters, as a treat to those who paid extra to be there. Pride Nite will be no exception.

On June 9, it was revealed that some extremely rare characters will be coming to Pride Nite. This includes some characters that have never been seen in the Parks!

Special character encounters include The Muses, America Chavez, Oaken (Frozen), Maleficent, and more. Special photo opportunities, too.

As you can see, some classic Disney characters — including Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Daisy, and Goofy — will be around for the event. However, so will rare characters like Oaken, Jane and Terk, and the Muses! The last time Oaken was seen in Disneyland Resort was for Merriest Nites, which took place in December 2021. The event was not brought back in 2022.

The Muses are an exceptionally special character meet and greet, since they have not been seen at Disneyland before! They were characters Guests could see on select Disney cruises, but they were not available for meet and greets.

Disneyland After Dark: Pride Nite will take place in Disneyland Park, with ticketed Guests able to enter the Park as early as 6 p.m. Guests without tickets to Pride Nite should note that Disneyland Park will be closing early on both June 13 and June 15 for the event. Pride Nite is sold out on both nights.
