Serena Williams is debating Disney baby names like Shere Khan and Le Fou!

Tennis champion Serena Williams might be a Disney princess in the eyes of many of her adoring fans, but the professional athlete and celebrity is apparently leaning towards a Disney villain theme for her unborn child!

Serena Williams already has one daughter named Olympia, but she is expecting a second child with her husband Alexis Ohanian (shown below with Serena at this year’s controversial Met Gala).

The retired tennis player posted a video on TikTok asking for Disney fans’ advice about Disney baby names, labeling herself as “the biggest” Disney fan of them all.

Williams revealed in the video that she is a huge Disney villain fan, specifically, since she spoke about several possible villainous baby names ranging from Maleficent, Ursula, and Mother Gothel to far less standard Disney villain names like Scar, Gaston, LeFou, and even Shere Khan.

“I’m onto something,” Serena Williams gushed enthusiastically in the video. However, responses to the suggested Disney villain baby names were mixed. After all, a name like LeFou would certainly be a tricky one for a child to pull off since the name belongs to Gaston’s hapless sidekick, and it literally means “the fool” in French.

We also know, after hearing from people who have indeed been given names like “Ursula,” that many of them grow up resenting their name and their parents’ choice to represent their own love for Disney movies by saddling their child with a name that they don’t like.

Would you name your child any of these names? If you were going to choose a Disney baby name, would you prefer to choose a Disney prince or Disney princess name like Eric or Raya instead of a Disney villain baby name?
