We have seen a lot of news related to the Disney Genie+ service from Disneyland and the Walt Disney Company lately — especially the news that Genie+ prices are increasing, and that the prices are now going to be different every day — and now there is more news in the Genie+ department from the Walt Disney Company! A Marvel attraction at Disneyland is joining many other attractions and moving to Genie+ instead of the Individual Lightning Lane category in the Disneyland Genie service.
According to journalist Scott Gustin, “WEB SLINGERS: A Spider-Man Adventure Lightning Lane is now part of Genie+.” Apparently, “the attraction was previously an Individual Lightning Lane that had to be purchased a la carte.” Now, as of today (October 11), this Spider-Man attraction is something that you’ll have to pay for through Genie+ instead when using the add-on to the Disneyland Genie service.
Genie+ has been criticized by many Disney Guests in Walt Disney World Resort and Disneyland Resort. The new service, which replaces a fan favorite called Fastpass, is an add-on that Disney Park visitors must pay for (and, as we mentioned previously, it has just been announced that said Genie+ prices have increased, and are supposedly going to change every day).
Essentially, the Disney Genie service and Individual Lightning Lane attractions are standard for every Disney Park Guest and Walt Disney Company customer who is on a Disney vacation in the Disney Parks — but Genie+ is something additional that you must pay for on your Disney vacation, and so WEB SLINGERS: A Spider-Man Adventure is now part of the Genie+ extra-cost roster alongside plenty of other attractions or rides.

Disney has been gradually adding more and more attractions or roller coasters in the Disney Parks to the Genie+ category, reducing how many chances non-Genie+ visitors will have to enjoy the rides or attractions and potentially increasing the amount of time that they will have to wait in line if they don’t want to pay for Genie+ and are simply using the Disneyland Genie service. Some Disney Guests have actually allegedly been using Disney’s Disability Access Services system to avoid paying for the service, too.
Are you a Genie+ customer? Would you consider WEB SLINGERS: A Spider-Man Adventure to be worth the price of Genie+, or will you cut your losses when it comes to that Disneyland and Marvel attraction?
