“Thank you, kind strangers”: A guest wrote about how strangers at Disneyland Resort helped them conquer their fears.
The Disney Parks are places of magic and wonder. Any Disney guest would attest to this fact. From the amazing rides and attractions to the wonderful lands at both the Walt Disney World Resort and the Disneyland Resort, there’s a lot to love about the Disney Park experience.
Strangers Help Disney Guest Conquer Fear at Disneyland
One aspect of the Disney theme park experience that makes a big difference to how guests feel about their Disney vacation is guest behavior. Guest behavior can truly make or break a Disney trip, and recently, one reported a heart-warming experience at the parks.
A guest took to Reddit to share how “I had been working up the courage to face my fear and hit up the arguably most intense ride in the park: Mission breakout.”
While the guest was in line for the ride, a dad and daughter noticed the guest’s nerves and immediately stepped in to help.

The OP explained, “There was a man and his young daughter next to me in line who noticed I was visibly freaked out. They started making conversation asking if it was my first time. I then find out the daughter is only 8 and she’s done the ride 10 times (it’s her favorite).”
“From there on, they continued to talk me through it, explaining what’s about to happen, and they made the nerves almost completely go away.” The OP wrote.
It’s truly these unexpected moments of kindness, whether from cast members or from guests, that make the Disney experience what it is to so many.
The comments were equally wholesome, with guests sharing their own anecdotes of kindness at the Disney Parks, and congratulating the OP on conquering their fear.
One guest wrote, “Congratulations on conquering your fear! This is why Twilight Zone Tower of Terror is/was (😭) my favorite— had the same experience in Florida as a kid. And this is also why I always try to be that man/younger daughter. You never know who just needs that extra support.”
