If you’re a Taylor Swift fan, then you’re probably well aware of the country-music-turned-pop-music singer’s successful Eras Tour — and if you’re not a Taylor Swift fan, you’ve probably heard about these highly-sought-after Taylor Swift concerts anyway, whether you wanted to or not!

Taylor has become an iconic singer in the world of music (both country music and pop music), and the celebrity has been taking her guitar across the country on her Eras Tour to enchant her fans with extravagant live performances.

According to TikToker @tejashullur and the Federal Reserve, however, Swift is doing a lot more for concert destinations than entertaining people — so she might give Walt Disney World Resort a huge financial boost when she comes to Florida!

An Economic Force to Be Reckoned With

Much like the Olympics, a hugely successful concert can have a drastic effect on a city or town. Tourists can be a huge burden on local transportation and infrastructure, but they can also bring in enormous amounts of income for the local area.

“It’s said that if Taylor Swift cancels a show, it would literally damage the economy of a city,” Tejas said in the video shown above. “She’s on track to being the highest-paid entertainer after her wildly successful Eras Tour and it has yet to even go international.”

According to Tejas, “the Federal Reserve said that Taylor Swift brought in so much tourism to Philadelphia, the impact was staggering. She set the record in Chicago for the most occupied hotel rooms on her three days performing at Soldier Field, and the CEO of Visit Tampa Bay said that she has the same impact as the Super Bowl to their city.”

Will Taylor Visit Disney?

This means that Swift’s performances in Florida could indirectly lead to an increase in visitors and profits for Walt Disney World Resort, even if she is not actually performing particularly close to the Disney Parks!

Walt Disney Company CEO Bob Iger has made it clear in Disney’s most recent earnings call that the company still has some financial losses to contend with, so some Taylor Swift-driven tourism boosts for Florida could certainly be helpful.

If Disney World chose to capitalize on the beloved singer and acoustic guitar player’s presence by playing Swift music in the Disney Parks (like the Cedar Fair amusement park called California’s Great America recently did), then the Disney Parks might attract some new visitors even if they had initially only come to Florida for the Eras Tour!

$100,000 Bonuses?

“I don’t think there’s anyone in this world that has more influence or international pull than Swift,” the TikToker added in the video shown above.

In addition, Swift is reportedly rewarding her co-workers on the tour (including everyone from “truck drivers” to “caterers”) with “life-changing” bonuses “as high as $100,000” each.

The singer might be making at least $332 million on the Eras Tour, but she is reportedly giving away around $55 million in generous bonuses!

  1. I am hoping that Taylor Swift would come to Disney World to help promote Disney Parks. She is the perfect person to represent Walt Disney & be the face of Disney World. I would not like it to benefit the despicable Florida Gov. DeSantis who tried to destroy Disney World by pushing his beliefs on the public. I am 83 years old and recognized the talented, kind & generous Taylor Swift as the representative of the youth of America. There is no better place in the world than Disney!
