Upcoming ‘Jurassic Park’ Experience Will Be the Most Immersive Ever Made

The Jurassic Park franchise has evolved into far more than just a movie series. Since Steven Spielberg’s groundbreaking 1993 classic, it’s become an entertainment empire, spanning rides, exhibitions, and soon, an all-new way to experience Isla Nublar.

At Universal Studios destinations around the world — from the breathtaking Jurassic World: The Ride in Hollywood to the high-speed VelociCoaster in Orlando — fans can live out their prehistoric dreams. For fans in the U.K., Jurassic World: The Experience is now captivating audiences at London’s Battersea Power Station, while a separate version, also produced by NEON, is thrilling guests at Singapore’s Gardens by the Bay.

But not everyone can afford to travel halfway around the world to get their Jurassic fix (take note, John Hammond). Thankfully, Universal and Saber Interactive’s upcoming video game “Jurassic Park: Survival” will soon offer the next best thing — a fully immersive, playable version of the original 1993 park, accessible from the comfort of your own home.

First revealed at The Game Awards in December 2023, the first-person action-adventure promises to re-create Isla Nublar in stunning detail. Players take on the role of Dr. Maya Joshi (Payal Mistry), an InGen scientist stranded on the island just one day after the events of the 1993 film. A recent behind-the-scenes video revealed sprawling jungle environments, familiar facilities like the Visitor Center, and terrifying encounters with Dilophosaurus and T. rex.
