Disneyland locals and fans across the country will be thrilled to learn that World of Color is returning very soon to Disney California Adventure! This popular nighttime spectacular is set to make its return in just one week on April 22, 2022. When it does, however, Disney has shared that there will be one additional change made to the performance that fans may not have been expecting; a virtual queue system.

The new virtual queue system for World of Color will be housed within the Disneyland mobile app, and it will be ready to use as soon as the show reopens on April 22, 2022. Like most theme park virtual queue systems, distribution for places within the virtual line will begin at set times, and it is possible for the queue to reach capacity.

To enter the queue, Guests can log in to the Disneyland app with distribution times beginning daily at noon. Guests who get through the queue in the app and are able to put themselves in the virtual line will be prompted to head for one of the designated areas to view the show that has been assigned to them through the app. Entry for Guests coming from the virtual queue will begin approximately 45 minutes prior to the start of the show.

If a Guest is unable to secure a viewing location for World of Color in the virtual queue while visiting Disney California Adventure, the Disney Parks Blog recommends that they visit the Paradise Bay viewing area before the show begins to check with a Cast Member to see what walk-up viewing options are available.

Use of the virtual queue is not required to see World of Color, but it is recommended to ensure access to a viewing area for the performance during your visit.
