Woman Gives Birth at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort!

Walt Disney World Resort is known as The Most Magical Place on Earth, and it certainly became A LOT more magical for one family! There are more than 20 hotels at Walt Disney World — running the gambit from Value Resorts like Art of Animation, Moderate hotels like Coronado Springs, and Deluxe Resorts like Animal Kingdom Lodge. There are hotels for almost every budget, and each one has a theme that your family is sure to love.

One of the most unique hotels at Disney World is Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort. At Fort Wilderness, Guests are in the heart of the frontier and can stay in anything from a tent to an RV to an actual cabin. This Disney Resort even allows pets, as long as certain conditions are met. The Resort is full of swimming pools, nature trails, activities like archery and horseback riding, and, of course, Disney magic!

One family recently saw firsthand just how magical Disney World can be. A woman named Miriam recently vacationed at Fort Wilderness. She and her husband own an RV and planned a last-minute getaway. Miriam was close to giving birth when she and her husband arrived, but she didn’t know just how close! According to reports, Miriam went into labor just two days after they arrived at the Resort and gave birth to a beautiful baby boy right at Fort Wilderness!

Miriam told outlets that she is a “birth worker”, but this birth was definitely “one of the coolest” ones she has been a part of.

Giving birth is an extremely exhausting experience. After delivering her newborn, there was one thing that Miriam was craving — Disney World’s iconic corn dog nuggets from Casey’s Corner in the Magic Kingdom! Thankfully, the Magic Kingdom is not far from Disney’s Fort Wilderness. So, Miriam’s husband jumped on a boat that takes Guests right from Fort Wilderness to the theme park. He grabbed Miriam her snack and hopped right back on the boat.

Now, for a long time, there was a rumor that people who gave birth at Walt Disney World Resort were given a special gift — a lifetime pass to the Parks for their baby. Unfortunately, this is not true, but we are sure that Walt Disney World Cast Members went above and beyond to make Miriam, her husband, and her new baby feel like the special Guests they are.
