Being courteous of Disney Cast Members is a simple ask, but one that history has proven isn’t always easy for some Guests. In the past, we’ve reported on instances of Guests shouting at Cast Members and picking fights with them, yelling obscenities at them, and generally being rude.
Sometimes, however, some Guests take it to another level with their behavior, just as one Guest did recently for his YouTube channel.
Vloggers at the Disney Parks
Vlogging has been a long-contested activity at the Parks. Many Guests have complained about what fellow visitors have “done for views,” and many times, TikTok trends have proven quite dangerous at the Parks. Disneyland once even put up a sign warning Guests not to follow in the footsteps of a trend, letting them know they would be asked to leave if they didn’t comply.
In fact, one Disney Park even banned vlogging because of the detrimental effect it had on many Park-goers’ Disney theme parks experience.
YouTube content creators from ZipTV kicked out of Disneyland
Recently, YouTube content creators from the channel ZipTV were kicked out of Disneyland while they were filming. The creators even filmed Disney security asking them to leave, explaining what happened.
In the video, the creators interviewed Guests and Cast Members about Avengers Campus in Disney California Adventure Park. One creator repeatedly questioned a Disney Cast Member about a show involving Black Widow, enough that the Cast Member asked them not to film her.
This happened for long enough that a manager even stepped in, “At this time, my Cast Members are actually doing a job, so we do ask that we don’t distract them while we have our demonstration.”
The video cuts to the scene of the disgruntled creator sharing, “It’s almost like me asking them a question is part of their job or something like that, I don’t know.”
Eventually, Disney Security Cast Members intervened, letting them know their Park visit had ended. “We’ve had multiple reports that you’ve been going up to random Cast Members and asking them questions,” one of the Security Cast Members said, “They’re feeling harassed.”
A supervisor landed the final blow, asking them to leave, “I have to end your visits for today.”
The creators refused, explaining they had simply vlogged their entire day and wouldn’t leave without a ticket refund. The situation escalated to the Anaheim Police Department arriving on the scene, explaining how Disneyland would not refund their tickets on the spot and that the creators could instead submit a claim afterward while still enforcing the mandate for the creators to leave.
