Josh D’Amaro (the Chairman of Disney Parks, Experiences, and Products) has enthusiastically shared during Destination D23 that a relatively-new Star Wars character is about to do a whole lot more than just star in her new Disney+ show.

Ahsoka Tano will be joining the Star Tours world in the spring of 2024 — and not just at Hollywood Studios in Disney World. Instead, Ahsoka Tano will be joining in on an international scale, at Star Tours worldwide!

Ahsoka Tano is a Togruta female and a former Jedi Padawan who first appeared in ‘Clone Wars’.

A New Fan-Favorite

Ahsoka Tano is a famously-orange Star Wars character played by A-list actress Rosario Dawson.

So far, the character (who first appeared in the 2008 Clone Wars film) is becoming a fan-favorite that rivals classic characters like Obi-Wan Kenobi!

Rosario Dawson actually admitted that she put her role in jeopardy after being cast due to her struggle with Disney’s secrecy about the show, but Ahsoka prevailed regardless and the show has made its debut on Disney+!

Journalist Scott Gustin shared the news as well in the Tweet shown below, saying that “starting next Spring, Ahsoka will be added to Star Tours across the globe.”

What Makes Ahsoka So Special?

Not every Star Wars show on Disney+ has been popular with audiences, but Ahsoka’s unique characterization, vibrant appearance, and the involvement of popular actress Rosario Dawson have all been stacking the deck in the new show’s favor.

Fans who enjoy the show — and who have enjoyed meeting Ahsoka Tano now that she can be met and greeted in person at Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge within Disneyland Park — will be very happy to see her in Star Tours and will view this as an exciting new development (especially in the Hollywood Studios Disney park)!

Have you watched Ahsoka yet on Disney+? Will you be excited about her presence in Star Tours, especially on a “global” scale?
