It’s almost Thanksgiving, which means that it is almost the holiday season. That means that it is nearly time to welcome in 2024 with a fun New Year’s celebration. And there is no better place to celebrate New Year’s Eve than Walt Disney World Resort. One of the best parts of New Year’s Eve is watching fireworks go off around the world, and who does fireworks better than Disney?

This year, guests can head over to Disney’s Contemporary Resort for a brand-new New Year’s Eve celebration. California Grill — which is located at the top of the Resort — will be hosting Alice’s Whimsical World of Wonderland. Guests will be able to indulge in amazing food and drinks, with an Alice in Wonderland theme, while watching the fireworks shoot off near Cinderella Castle in the Magic Kingdom.
According to Disney, there will even be characters from Alice in Wonderland at the event, greeting guests. And guests are sure to love the DJ, who is actually the White Rabbit!
Get your camera ready: you’ll come face-to-face with The Doorknob in the entryway. Then, keep your eyes peeled for Alice, The Mad Hatter and The March Hare in the Dining Room. You may also get a chance to wave hello to Dinah the Hat Lady—but beware of the Queen of Hearts! It will surely be a merry party, complete with custom-crafted cocktails.

And since it is a New Year’s Eve celebration, guests will join in a champagne toast when the clock strikes midnight.
California Grill is known for its incredible wine collection, so guests will be sure to find something they love. The party will also offer a variety of signature cocktails for guests to enjoy throughout the evening.

It is important for guests to know that there may be a little bit of sticker shock when it comes to the price. The cost for Alice’s Whimsical World of Wonderland will be $799 per person. That price will include tax and tip. Full payment must be paid when the booking is made. 24-hour advance notice must be given for guests who wish to cancel, or they may be charged the full amount.
Alice’s Whimsical World of Wonderland will happen for one night only. The event begins at 7:30 p.m., but guests can begin checking in as early as 7 p.m. The party will end around 12:30 a.m.
Guests also must remember that California Grill is considered a Disney Signature Dining experience. Because of this, Disney expects guests “to dress accordingly in attire that respects the restaurant’s sophisticated and upscale aesthetic.” Guests who are not dressed accordingly may be asked to change.
