Disney Popcorn Buckets

In the past year, we have seen works of art like the Cinderella Coach Premium Popcorn Bucket. Disney Parks have also released popcorn buckets that promote new attractions, celebrate certain holidays, and help market new movies.

Other times, Disney relies on a classic theme park attraction or character such as Figment. Released in 2022, the Figment Popcorn Bucket had guests waiting seven hours in line to get it.

Aside from the collectible nature of these Disney popcorn buckets, they are also a practical purpose. Purchasing one during your Walt Disney World vacation can help save money.

The New Festival of the Arts Popcorn Bucket

The newest popcorn bucket is the 2024 Festival of the Arts popcorn bucket. It features the Imagination Pavilion with a Figment and comes with rainbow popcorn for the festival.

But the resale market of Disney popcorn buckets is an industry all its own.

As reported by Disney Dining, people are selling the newest popcorn bucket on eBay for as much as $149. Of course, if you visit EPCOT, you can score your own popcorn bucket for $30.

The $1,499 Figment Popcorn Bucket

But there’s another, more unique popcorn bucket selling on eBay for $1,499.

Why is it so expensive? Aside from being the coveted Figment popcorn bucket from years past, it’s also autographed. The seller claims the autograph on the popcorn bucket is of Tony Baxter, the former Disney Imagineer.

One of the most famous living Disney Imagineers, Tony Baxter is also a Disney Legend. He was once the senior vice president of creative development at Walt Disney Imagineering.

About Steven

Steven has a complicated relationship with Disney. As a child, he visited Walt Disney World every few years with his family. But he never understood why kids his age (and older) were so scared of Snow White or Alien Encounter. He is a former participant of the Disney College Program (left early…long story), and he also previously worked in Children’s publishing, where he adapted multiple Disney movies and TV shows. He has many controversial opinions about Disney…like having a positive view of Michael Eisner, believing Return of the Jedi is superior to The Empire Strikes Back, and that Toy Story Land and Galaxy’s Edge should have never been built (at least not at Hollywood Studios). Every year for the past two decades, Steven has visited either Walt Disney World, Disneyland, Aulani or went on a Disney Cruise. He’s happy to share any and all knowledge of the Disney destinations (and he likes using parenthesis a lot…as well as ellipses…)
