Disney is known for its charitable endeavors, but now Marvel has joined in with a special designer collection and a mentorship program! This exclusive Marvel & The Prince’s Trust collection is an Avengers-inspired gender-neutral collection created by designers aged 18-30 in an effort “to help young people break into the world of fashion and product design”.

The Prince’s Trust is the youth charity that Disney worked with in 2021 to bring this Marvel Cinematic Universe collection to life, and the groundbreaking mentorship program involved “a series of workshops, hosted by Disney, culminating in the aspiring designers creating two Marvel-inspired product ranges”.

The first of the two collections is an eye-catching mix of Marvel’s Avengers aesthetic, “American street culture”, Marvel characters, and sports. This theme was chosen by the young new designers after analyzing fashion trends, and the designers also placed a strong focus on inclusivity. If you like the look of the clothing, accessories, or stationery in this gender-neutral collection, you’ll be able to purchase products from The Disney Store and online at shopDisney in Europe and the United Kingdom!

Renowned actor Sir Ben Kingsley (who was featured in Iron Man 3 (2013) and the 2021 Marvel movie Shang-Chi: Legend of the Ten Rings) met with the program participants to celebrate their collections, saying the following: “As a proud Ambassador for The Prince’s Trust for many years, who’s played a part in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, it has been inspiring to meet young people today who have completed the Get Started in Product Design program delivered by The Trust and Marvel”.

“These talented young designers have shown creativity and skill,” the Marvel actor added, “and it is brilliant to see Marvel supporting the next generation of talent to break into the creative industries. I wish the young people all the best as they pursue their careers.” Disney helped the participants get their foot in the fashion industry and product development doors by providing access to Disney retail teams, marketers, and  designers. Take a look at each featured young person in this mentorship program in the Tweet below!

The program will last for three years (with the incredible female superheroes collection coming this spring), and Disney is also donating £100,000 each year to The Prince’s Trust! We’ll be excited to see what these up-and-coming designers create next — and fans of Marvel comics or the Marvel Cinematic Universe will also want to pay attention to the launches of these Disney consumer products!
