Even though the Avengers have been swept to the wayside a bit with the arrival of new superheroes like Shang-Chi and the Eternals, fans still haven’t tired of incorporating the iconic Marvel superheroes into pop culture–and now there’s a new comic featuring the Avengers! Cassey Ho, the fitness Youtuber (who is already known for her Disney princess workouts, Disney-inspired activewear collections, Disney princess comics, and Disney villain comics) has just come out with a new comic featuring the Avengers at the gym! Cassey–who is also known as Blogilates–posted the following comic on Instagram, and it features most of the classic Avengers. The comics are illustrated by Daniel Kordek.
Even though Bruce Banner might be a mild-mannered man who probably favors working out at home through kayaking or solitary walks over going to a public gym, we could definitely see the Hulk being an intense staff member there!
Thor went through quite a transformation in Thor: Ragnarok (and Thor: Love and Thunder wrapped filming in New Zealand a few months ago) as well as in the Avengers finale, but Blogilates combined his usual appearance with his new lightning powers in her Thor-themed comic strip.
With Spider-man’s newest movie ‘Spider-man: No Way Home‘ premiering in December amidst several conspiracy theories, it’s no surprise that the bendy character would be a popular yoga instructor! Tom Holland‘s background in ballet and gymnastics also means that the actor does lots of his own stuntwork as Spider-man, making his comic strip particularly accurate.
Even though Black Widow has gone solo with her own movie on Disney+, the feisty character is still a consistent hit with audiences. She was also the first femme fatale to join the Avengers–although the Avengers and their cohort have definitely started to include more female characters as the Marvel Cinematic Universe has expanded!
Captain Marvel is another solo female protagonist who made a splash when she got involved with the Avengers. Although the fighter-pilot-turned-intergalactic-hero thrives in her standalone film, she also does well amongst Marvel’s other superheroes (and has a cameo in the post-credit scene from ‘Shang-Chi: Legend of the Ten Rings‘!).
Since athleticism was a big part of the Black Panther’s combat style, T’Challa’s position in the gym seems accurate. And for the final portion of the Avengers comic, Blogilates added one particularly significant cameo!
The unnerving man in the locker room is, undoubtedly, Stan Lee. Stan Lee was known as the face of Marvel for decades, and his cameo in this comic strip suits his cameos in the Marvel movies perfectly as he chats with Captain America! How do you think the Avengers would act in the gym?
