When visiting any of the world’s Disney Parks and Resorts, guests must follow a set of rules and regulations that, when ignored, could result in getting kicked out – or even being banned – from the theme parks.
So, what can’t you bring on your next visit to the Walt Disney World Resort in Florida? Well, some of the list may surprise you.
Prohibited items at Disney theme parks
Many obvious items are not allowed to go with you on your magical day at the Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, or Disney’s Animal Kingdom theme parks.
Dangerous articles like guns, knives, and weapons, as well as illegal substances and alcoholic beverages, are not permitted in Disney World Parks, and security Cast Members at each theme park entrance will find these. Toy guns are also a prohibited item.
Drones are also prohibited, so if you were planning to do a cool overhead shot of you walking down Main Street, U.S.A., for Instagram, you could rule that idea out.

Families with younger children must leave wagons and larger strollers at home. Disney defines large as “greater than 31 inches in width and 52 inches in length,” but if in doubt, just leave it at home or the hotel.
Furthermore, skateboards, scooters, skates, and rollerblades (even shoes with wheels) are not permitted inside the theme parks, and you will be made to leave these behind at the entrance.
Though it may seem like a great idea, with long lines for attractions when entering a Disney Park at Disneyland or Walt Disney World, you may not bring a folding chair or camping chair. These, of course, would obstruct ride lines and fireworks viewing areas.

Interestingly, some more obscure items are not allowed on Disney property. Items such as horns and whistles, as well as noisemakers and megaphones, are not allowed. Common sense indicates that these would be distracting to both Disney Park guests and Cast Members at the Walt Disney World Resort, especially those performing in parades, stage shows, and stunts.
Also not very obvious on the list are balloons. Balloons and plastic chairs are prohibited from Disney’s Animal Kingdom, water parks, and Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge.
