Disney surprised fans with the announcement of their third Wish-class ship, Disney Destiny, which is themed around heroes and villains. Fans are thrilled!
For a few years now, since a little “Blue Sky” session Disney Parks chairman Josh D’Amaro held during D23 2021 that we shall not talk about, fans around the world have been waiting with bated breath for a Villains Land to grace the Central Florida Disney Resort, Walt Disney World.
While we still don’t have any official announcement on Villains Land, what we do have is a Heroes and Villains-themed cruise ship that will soon be hitting the docks and seas.
That’s right, ladies and gents. The Disney Destiny ship will make its debut sooner rather than later, and it might just do the trick for any guests clamoring for Mr. D’Amaro to make good on his blue-sky promises.
As journalist Scott Gustin took to X to share, Disney’s third “Wish-class” ship is set to be delivered in 2025 and is named Disney Destiny. The ship reached a construction milestone on Wednesday with a keel-laying ceremony at the Germany-based shipyard.
This cruise ship, centered around a heroes and villains theme, offers guests the chance to encounter heroes and villains alike—including those from The Lion King, Hercules, and One Hundred and One Dalmatians.

One thing guests must note about the Disney Destiny is how its set apart from the Disney Adventure ship. Disney Destiny is a Wish-class ship and is the third in line after Disney Wish and Disney Treasure.
The Disney Adventure ship exists in a different class and will sail out of Singapore beginning in 2025.
The Disney Cruise Line fleet consists of Disney Dream, Disney Fantasy, Disney Wonder, Disney Magic, Disney Wish, Disney Treasure (debuting this year), and now, of course, Disney Destiny (debuting 2025 onwards).
Each cruise ship within the Disney Cruise Line fleet offers a distinctive Disney experience, allowing guests to immerse themselves in the magic of Disney in a way that is truly unparalleled.
