The Walt Disney Company is celebrating its 100th anniversary next year and has a unique celebration planned for this New Year’s Day.
The Mouse House is celebrating its 100th year next year, and it’s pulling out all the stops. From new shows and spectaculars to all-new decor and decorations across the Parks to new outfits for Mickey and Minnie for this celebration in particular.

Disney has been teasing different aspects of this celebration for months now since they announced it at the D23 Expo earlier this year in Anaheim, California. According to a recent report from ABC7 News, the celebration will start in the new year. Disney will have a marathon of the old classic movies at select theaters for fans to enjoy some of the best Disney movies.
Per ABC7 News, here are the select theaters that will be screening this marathon come January 1:
The following theaters will showcase the Disney 100 Years of Wonder Marathon:
- AMC Orange 30 (Orange, CA – LA Metro)
- AMC Empire 25 (New York, NY)
- AMC Disney Springs 24 (Orlando, FL)
- Cinemark West Plano 20 (Dallas-Ft. Worth)
- Cinemark San Jose Oakridge 20 (San Jose – SF)
- El Capitan (Los Angeles)
- Harkins Estrella Falls 16 (Phoenix)
- Megaplex @ The District (Salt Lake City)
- Marcus Orland Park (Chicago)
- Regal Avalon (Atlanta)
Movies that are going to be showcased include Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin, Frozen, The Lion King , and more!
As the report states, this marathon showcases Disney animated classics that are back on the big screen in select theaters to commemorate this enormous and momentous milestone. Guests can also expect some fantastic offerings at the Parks—be that Walt Disney World Resort or Disneyland Resort, including what Disney has already let us know about and what is unknown and yet to come.
Guests will be able to experience this celebration at Disney Parks like Magic Kingdom, and Disney’s Animal Kingdom in Walt Disney World Resort as well as Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure in Disneyland Resort.
