Going to Disneyland Resort and Walt Disney World Resort are some of the most extraordinary experiences in the world. Both Disney Resorts are home to some amazing rides and marvelous attractions that keep Guests from all over the world flocking back to the Disney Parks for more. There are classics like Space Mountain, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, and Haunted Mansion, among others, both at Disneyland Park and Magic Kingdom Park in both the Southern California Disney Resort as well as the Central Florida Disney Resort. One of the most notable parts of the Disney experience off-late has been the Disney Genie suite with Disney Genie+ and Lightning Lane, proven by the fact that Genie+ just sold out for the second day in a row.
As reported by journalist Scott Gustin, Genie+ at Walt Disney World has sold out for the second consecutive day. Yesterday the controversial service sold out for the first time, and the service, despite Guest complaints, continues to be incredibly popular or incredibly necessary, as proved by its second consecutive day selling out.

Interestingly, although Disney Genie sold out, it hasn’t stopped Disney Park Guests from questioning the incredibly high prices they’ve been seeing for it. Just a few short hours before it sold out, Reddit user and Disney Guest u/er1026 took to the social media platform to question the prices they were seeing. They asked, “When did genie + go from $15 a person to $30 a person!?!?? They doubled the price!?!?”
Fellow Disney Park Guests in the comments noted that the price rise was likely in response to the long weekend and is probably precisely what Disney imagined when they first announced the change to variable pricing in the latter half of 2022.
For now, it appears that the Disney Genie product is here to stay. Disney has mentioned on multiple counts that it’s a product they believe in, and with demand and results like this, it’s unlikely they will be dissuaded from that belief anytime soon.
