In the latest story of another Disney Park mishap, reportedly a Walt Disney World Theme Park was enveloped in darkness after a power surge.
The Disney Parks have had a lot of reports of ride breakdowns, questionable occurrences, inclement weather, and harsh storms lately. Here’s yet another one.

Over the weekend, Guests visiting Disney’s Hollywood Studios found themselves in the middle of a reported power surge where the whole Theme Park was thrown into darkness. While the length of this outage was not very long, according to Guests, it was a unique experience. Several visitors took to social media to share the news.

User u/flyingcircusdog chimed in online, stating:
“It’s been a while since Disney, but I’ve seen it at other parks. You usually have to evac every ride and rerun the startup procedure.”
Another user, u/worstdarkide stated that it had in fact happened at Disney’s Hollywood Studios before and was because of “severe lightning in the area.”
It should be noted that Disney has not confirmed that this was due to a power surge or given any explanation for the outages. But this is by no means the first time Disney has seen severe weather or had to deal with situations caused by lightning or storms.

Disney’s Hollywood Studios is one of four Theme Parks Guests can visit while enjoying their time at Walt Disney World Resort, the others being Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, and Disney’s Animal Kingdom. The Park is home to some of fans favorite attractions including, “Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith,” “Star Tours: The Adventures Continue,” and “Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway,” amongst others.
