Earlier this year, we shared the news of a number of brand new experiences coming just to this ship in the Disney Cruise Line fleet, including enhanced areas created especially for teens and tweens, new family obstacle course programming themed to Disney and Pixar’s ‘The Incredibles,’ experiences with ‘Star Wars,’ and Captains Minnie and Mickey, and so much more!

Following this morning’s news of the Destination D23 event running this weekend at Disney’s Contemporary Resort, we are excited to share some all new entertainment coming to the Disney Wish for voyages beginning next year!

Art Rendering of The Disney Wish

Cruises will kick off with live performances of “Disney The Little Mermaid,” a totally new and unique reimagining of the Disney animated classic film performed in a Broadway style. As a reimagining of the Walt Disney Animation Studios hit, “Disney The Little Mermaid” will change how we look at the characters and their stories.

The primary focus of the show’s plot will be on Ariel as a young woman learning the true power of her voice. Disney Cruise Line is known for their high quality Broadway style performances and “Disney The Little Mermaid” will continue this tradition with new and innovative set designs in the theater, beautifully designed costumes, breathtaking choreography an all-new script and more.

Disney’s Art Rendering

If you have your next cruise planned for Summer 2022 aboard the Disney Wish, “Disney The Little Mermaid” is expected to be the Broadway style offering for opening night of each itinerary, so be sure to add it to your list!
