The Walt Disney World Resort in Florida wastes no time preparing for the upcoming holiday season. It might only be July, but now is the time to plan your vacation. The theme park has started ticket sales for its Christmas season, and several new offerings are sure to sell out fast. While Disneyland’s Ooogie Boogie Bash sale had some technical hurdles that caused mayhem online, everything seems to be running smoothly on this site’s offering. Let’s explore what’s to come with these Disney World holiday tickets, including the surprise appearance of some singing princesses!
Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party at Magic Kingdom
Almost everyone knows the main event of Walt Disney World’s holiday season, Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party. This special occasion is held at Magic Kingdom throughout the winter season. On 25 select nights from November 9 to December 22, Guests can go all in on festive favorites like the dazzling stage show “Mickey’s Most Merriest Celebration,” the sparkling fireworks display “Minnie’s Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks,” and the merry parade “Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade.” Tickets have finally gone on sale, with prices ranging from $159 to $199 per person.
This year hosts a new “Frozen Holiday Surprise” experience, where Elsa, Anna, Olaf, Kristoff, and the Snowgies will illuminate Cinderella Castle in a whole new way. Not much more is known about this offering, but it’s another reason you might want to head to Disney World this holiday.
Jollywood Nights at Hollywood Studios
Disney Jollywood Nights is the ultimate nostalgic holiday experience at Disney’s Hollywood Studios in Walt Disney World Resort. This new separately ticketed event offers dazzling decor, modern beats mixed with classic holiday songs, delicious food and drinks, and the chance to mingle with iconic characters. Dance the night away, indulge in divine treats, and snap selfies with Mickey, Minnie, and more. Plus, enjoy after-hours access to popular rides and coasters. The event runs from November 11 to December 20, with tickets now on sale ranging from $159 to $179 per person.
A casting call on Disney Auditions has shed some light on special offerings during the event. Princess Tiana is set to dazzle with her strong mezzo-soprano vocals and enchanting ability to riff like Mariah Carey in the beloved holiday hit “All I Want for Christmas.” Belle will also bring her signature musical theater style to deliver a heartfelt rendition of “As Long As There’s Christmas.” Other musical offerings include a Nightmare Before Christmas sing-along at the Hyperion Theater.
But Wait…There’s More!
The holiday festivities extend to other parts of the theme park as well. The beloved “Candlelight Processional” returns to EPCOT during the International Festival of the Holidays, an event that Guests have wanted back for some time.
At Disney’s Animal Kingdom, you can view the Merry Menagerie of artisan-sculpted puppets. Outside of Jollywood Nights, Disney’s Hollywood Studios brings back the Yuletide projection show and festive attire for Woody, Jessie, and Buzz in Toy Story Land. You also have the chance to meet Santa Claus, who will make special appearances in all four parks, Disney Springs, and even at a Disney Water Park dressed in his tropical holiday beachwear.
Disney World has announced some good deals for Resort hotels on the property during the holiday season, including new discounts for Disney+ subscribers. The company really wants you to visit them this winter, so take advantage of it!
