A Walt Disney World Park was left in despair when multiple rides broke down simultaneously, leaving many Guests disappointed.
Visiting a Walt Disney World Resort Disney Park is an experience to write home about. The Disney Resort is home to four. Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, Disney’s Animal Kingdom, and of course, the center of this story, Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Each Disney Theme Park has different rides and attractions on offer that allow Guests to have the Disney experience they paid for—and it’s not an insignificant amount!
Consequently, when things go wrong at a Disney Park, particularly when rides break down, it can be quite disheartening for Guests. (Disney Park Guests have been known to go into debt over their Disney vacation, so this makes a lot of sense.)
Disney Guest and Reddit user u/7minutesinheaven1 shared their experience,
It’s noon and Rise has gone down 3x already.
Got here at 7:30 am to rope drop Rise and it was down so we did Smugglers instead. Eventually Rise came back up briefly but then went down for two hours. As soon as it resumed we got in line and not half an hour later it’s down again. And it’s not just this ride. At one point this morning Rise, Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster, Mickey and Minnie’s and Tower of Terror were all down. Smugglers went down soon after that. Do I have any right to complain if I don’t get to ride everything I want? I don’t feel I’m getting the value of my park ticket. I also paid for Genie+.
Fellow Disney Guests and fans shared that the OP could do little about this situation. U/loonardi shared, “It’s a sad state of affairs what has happened to the upkeep of rides. It happens all across the parks. After yesterdays announcements, I hope one of the next things they do is reinvest in the current rides and maintenance of the park. It has clearly taken a dip over the last few years.”
The fan is referencing the host of exciting announcements Disney shared last week involving free parking, complimentary PhotoPass services, and more in honor of the Disney 100 celebration. With Bob Iger’s return and his belief that there has never been a better time to be a Disney fan, here’s hoping that sentiment comes to pass!
Disney’s Hollywood Studios is home to rides such as Slinky Dog Dash, Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance, and more. As the Guest had mentioned using the Disney Genie suite and its services, here is the only ride unavailable on the Genie+ service at Disney’s Hollywood Studios: Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance, for which you will have to purchase an Individual Lightning Lane.
We at Disney Fanatic will continue to report on all Disney news.
