One of the best parts of visiting a Disney park is the food you can enjoy. Disney food is so much more than just cheeseburgers and chicken fingers (although they have that too!). There are so many unique choices, and over the years, the parks have become a destination for foodies. Some Disney snacks have even become iconic in their own right — Mickey’s Premium Bars, Mickey Pretzels, Turkey Legs, and the Dole Whip.

In addition to the snacks, some Disney Parks are also stepping up their game when it comes to alcoholic drinks. Drinking at Disney has become a controversial topic — as most Disney fans don’t like dealing with those who can’t handle their booze. However, those who are just looking for something fun and new to try can frequently find a winner at a Disney theme park.

And we may have found the winner of all winners.
I give you — the Dole Whip Shot.
The Dole Whip shot is perfectly sweet, perfectly creamy, just perfect.
To get the Dole Whip Shot, you have to make your way to The Happiest Place on Earth, Disneyland Resort. Then, head to Lamplight Lounge in Disney California Adventure Park. It is at the entrance to Pixar Pier. There are two ways to dine at Lamplight Lounge — the restaurant or Boardwalk Dining. Lamplight Lounge Boardwalk Dining is best known to Disneyland fans as the former location of Cove Bar (before Pixar took over).
The Dole Whip Shot is not on the menu, so you will have to specifically ask your waiter or waitress for it. Then, the magic begins.
According to the amazing Disney Cast Member who waited on my table, there are just a few ingredients to make this amazing drink. The Dole Whip shot is made with:
- Absolut Citron
- Parrot Bay Coconut Rum
- Whipped Cream
- Pineapple Juice
Now, beware, the Dole Whip Shot is not your typical shot. It is much larger. It is between a shot and a regular drink size, so you can’t down it as a regular shot. I mean, you can try, but it would be a little difficult.
The Dole Whip shot costs $17.50, which is high, but, as I said, the drink is larger than a normal shot. It is also not listed on the receipt as a normal drink would be. Because it is not a traditional menu item, the Cast Members must ring it up with each item they have to put in the drink.
The Dole Whip Shot is not the only secret menu drink that guests can enjoy at Lamplight Lounge. Many of the drinks were part of the secret menu when it was Cove Bar, but a couple have undergone slight alterations.
If you would like to enjoy a secret menu item drink, be sure to ask about Mickey’s Fun Wheel, Neverland Tea, The Sea Witch, The Zombie, The Earthquake, LA Water (like a Long Island Iced Tea with some alterations), and The Black Pearl. Cast Members are pretty well-versed in these incredible options. They will be able to tell you exactly what is in each one.
