There’s not much Dwayne Johnson can’t do for Disney.

He sang “You’re Welcome” in Moana (2016), he brought the puns to Jungle Cruise (2021), he’ll be reprising his role as Maui in a live-action remake of the animated movie, and he was even in the Disney television shows That’s So Raven and Hannah Montana (no, really).

Disney has revealed another project for “The Rock,” and this time it involves the Walt Disney World and Disneyland theme parks.

Dwayne Johnson’s Disney Projects

Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson’s work on the animated film Moana turned him into a Disney demigod, with the Jumanji (2017) and The Fast and the Furious actor coming a long way since his World Wrestling Federation (WWF) era.

For Disney, he has portrayed Joe Kingman in the 2007 sports comedy film The Game Plan and Jack Bruno in the 2009 sci-fi thriller film remake Race to Witch Mountain. He played Frank Wolff alongside Emily Blunt in the Disney movie Jungle Cruise, and though he hasn’t joined the Marvel Cinematic Universe yet, Johnson did join D.C. Films to make and star in Black Adam (2022).

Now, Johnson is working on a Disney theme park project set to be released in November, one that has been highly anticipated since its first season dropped on Disney+.

The new season’s six episodes will dive behind the scenes of Disney Park attractions Pirates of the Caribbean, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, and Indiana Jones Adventure, as well as Disney food, and nighttime spectaculars.

The show is once again being produced for Disney’s streaming service by Dwayne Johnson’s Seven Bucks Productions, who will executive produce alongside Dany Garcia and Brian-Volk-Weiss.

The series takes Disney fans backstage at some of Disney’s most iconic and beloved attractions, including little-known details and stories from Walt Disney Imagineers and Cast Members.

The trailer features Disney Imagineers Bob Gurr, Tony Baxter, and more, who talk at length about Walt Disney’s vision for the theme parks. When talking about the closing fireworks, they describe them as Walt Disney’s “Kiss Goodnight.”

Dwayne Johnson’s new Disney Parks project looks set to be another interesting and magical journey behind the scenes of the Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, Disney’s Animal Kingdom, Disneyland Park, and Disney California Adventure theme parks, and we can’t wait!
