Walt Disney World Resort has had Disney fans all abuzz in recent weeks with an outpouring of news as the Disney Resort and Disney Parks undergo both pandemic-related changes and ride renovations or closures (as well as the changes to the Disney experience that come with the new Disney Genie service and Genie+ service). The Finding Nemo musical show in the Animal Kingdom Disney Park has just gotten an upgrade, and now both that show and another individual attraction are being shifted over to Genie+!

Journalist Scott Gustin has shared that the new Finding Nemo show (inspired by the iconic Pixar film series) “Finding Nemo: The Big Blue…and Beyond!” is going to be added to Genie+ as soon as it opens on June 13 this summer.
Apparently an Animal Kingdom Meet and Greet, “Meet Favorite Disney Pals at Adventurers Outpost”, is also becoming a Genie+ attraction! This Meet and Greet is experiencing the change on June 19.

Walt Disney World Resort Guests and Disneyland Resort Guests have been expressing a lot of dissatisfaction and reporting a less positive average customer experience with the Genie service and Genie+ service, even though both are meant to increase customer satisfaction and help with issues like long wait times for rides or attractions. Disney CEO Bob Chapek still seems confident in Genie+ regardless of any complaints from Disney Park or Disney Resort visitors.

Many other Disney World or Disneyland attractions have become Genie+ attractions now despite Disney Guests’ complaints — and despite the fact that Disney itself seems to be aware of the services’ problems (as indicated by Disney’s revision of the Genie service’s description online).

Some other Disney rides or shows that have become Genie+ forms of entertainment and switched from being Individual Lightning Lane attractions are Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure, Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway, Frozen Ever After, Space Mountain, and Expedition Everest: Legend of the Forbidden Mountain.
