Any Walt Disney World Resort or Disneyland Resort vacation can be stressful — but these Disney Guests’ vacation just might take the cake when it comes to stress!
These days, Disney ride breakdowns or malfunctions are becoming more and more commonplace, but full-on Disney Park evacuations are far less common.
However, Disneyland just initiated an evacuation in its New Orleans Square neighborhood that has affected Pirates of the Caribbean ride passengers, Blue Bayou restaurant customers, and everyone in between!
In a new conversation on Reddit, a Disneyland Guest asked if anyone else had information about what caused this mysterious and widespread Disney Park evacuation. There is no confirmed answer from anyone at Disneyland, but as usual, observant Disney Fanatics have drawn their own conclusions.
A Reddit user called “mantis949” expanded on another Disneyland Guest’s theory that a fire alarm had been “pulled,” adding that (according to them) the culprit was instead a “water supply pipe”.
According to this Disney Guest, the pipe “broke resulting in the partial flooding of a downstairs area. This caused the fire system to trigger somehow and register like there was a fire somewhere in the structure that houses pirates, BB, and 33”.
“Cast and guests from all areas were evacuated while the fire authorities investigated the issue,” the Reddit user explained.
If this statement is accurate (even though it has not been confirmed by Disney), then flooding may currently be posing a serious problem inside this New Orleans Square building.
Whether or not flooding from a broken pipe was the cause of the evacuation, the fact remains that many Disneyland Guests found their happy, magical Disney day to be disrupted (and, in the case of Blue Bayou restaurant customers, their meals to be interrupted).
Were you a Disneyland Resort Guest who was in New Orleans Square yesterday? Were you part of this evacuation?
