Disney Offering HUGE Discount On Its Newest Hotel Just For Annual Passholders!

One year ago, Disney’s newest hotel opened at Walt Disney World Resort in Florida — the Star Wars Galactic Starcruiser. The Galactic Starcruiser — named the Halcyon — is a brand-new concept. Guests board the ship for a two-day voyage, where they can join the Resistance (or the First Order), learn how to use lightsabers, enjoy special food and dining options, and so much more. The only time during the voyage when Guests would leave the Halcyon would be to be transported to Batuu — the planet created for Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge in Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

The Galactic Starcruiser was designed to be an incredible experience for Star Wars fans everywhere. However, one thing was always an issue — the extremely high price tag. The lowest cost for the two-day voyage was just under $5,000 for two people in one cabin. The cost goes up to just under $6,000 for three adults and one child in one room. So, although fans may have wanted to enjoy the new hotel and the experience it offers, many couldn’t justify spending that kind of money. And they sure as heck wouldn’t be able to do it more than once.

The astronomical price stage led to Disney struggling to fill rooms on the ship, even though there were only 100 of them. Disney even ended up cutting some voyages. For being open less than a year, things weren’t looking great. Then Disney decided to offer discounts for stays on Galactic Starcruiser and things began to look up. At first, discounts were only available for one voyage for Disney Vacation Club members. Now, Disney is expanding its discount to Annual Passholders as well.

Annual Passholders can save 30% on select Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser—valid for voyages on the following departure dates in spring and summer 2023:

• April 15, 17, 19, 21, 23, 25, 27 and 29
• May 1, 5, 7, 9, 11, 13, 15, 19, 21, 23, 25, 29 and 31
• June 2, 4, 6, 14, 18, 20, 24, 26 and 28

This is not the first time that Disney has offered discounts for its newest hotel. Recently, members of the Disney Vacation Club were also able to book rooms for a certain voyage at a large discount. Only one voyage was eligible for the DVC discount, but the rooms filled up quickly, and there is currently a waitlist should Disney open up another discounted voyage for DVC members.
