Surprising Closure News Shocks Disney Guests

h20+ closure

If your first thought upon hearing the word “H20” is water itself, or the popular Australian mermaid show H20: Just Add Water, then you may not be as committed a Disney Cruise Line or Disney Parks fan as some of your fellow Disney fanatics are.

For enthusiastic Disney Cruise Line passengers and Disney Park Guests, H20 is synonymous with the “clean” skincare products from H20+ that can be found in Disney cruise ship suites or Disney Resorts — and unfortunately, it has been announced that the watery brand H20+ is closing permanently!

The brand H20+ is (or was) the brand responsible for those skincare products (including bath products like body wash, cleansers, and moisturizers), and the H20+ products can be found as in-room product offerings on Disney Cruise Line ships as well as within the rooms of Disney Resorts and Disney Parks.

H20+ is a brand that does not just create skincare products and bath products for Disney. The brand also sells plenty of products on its own, including a mineral sunscreen and moisturizers that have received rave reviews from well-known sites like Bustle, The Zoe Report, Allure, and Byrdie. H20+ prides itself on providing hydrating, “clean” products to consumers (although “clean” is a marketing term that does not actually mean anything, and is not regulated).

The brand also claims to have eco-conscious packaging and cruelty-free status. The brand has been around since the 1990s, so the loss of H20+ will be a shock to Disney Guests and Disney Cruise Line passengers who look forward to some H20+ treats in their en-suite bathrooms — but it will also be a shock to plenty of H20+ customers who are not fans of Disney, and who have no idea that the skincare brand has worked with Disney!

H20+ has shared the news of its closure on its website, encouraging customers to hurry and buy their favorite products from the brand on Amazon. “Thank you for 33 years,” H20+’s website says. “After 30+ amazing years of innovation, we have made the very difficult decision to retire the brand at the end of the year. Shop your favorites on Amazon while supplies last.”

Take note: you can also buy what’s left of H20+ on shopDisney until September 30! The products are actually 30% off; while it is possible that the mention of September 30 means that products will be leaving Disney locations then, it could also be possible that shopDisney will continue to sell the skincare products after that date if they have any left to sell.

Fingers crossed that bestsellers like the Hydration Sensitive Mineral Sunscreen Lotion, Hydration Age Renew Eye Cream, Sea Salt Body Butter,  and the Hydration Oasis Refreshing Gel Moisturizer will all be around long enough for their biggest fans to stock up!

Are you going to miss H20+ products? Snag your favorite products while you still can at shopDisney.com. Were they a highlight of your Disney Parks trips or Disney cruises — and which brand do you think will replace H20+ when it comes to Disney bath products?
