Do you ever wonder why you behave the way you do, especially when you feel like your emotions have gotten the better of you? Well, in 2015, Disney decided to bring those emotions to life with the release of its new film, Inside Out. Inside Out starred Amy Poehler as the voice of Joy, Lewis Black as Anger, Phyllis Smith as Sadness, Bill Hader as Fear, and Mindy Kaling as Disgust.

What We Know About Inside Out 2
First and foremost, we know that not all the film’s original actors will return for the sequel film. Amy Poehler will return as Joy, Phyllis Smith will be back as Sadness, and Lewis Black will return as Anger. Diane Lane will also be back as the voice of Riley’s mother. However, Bill Hader and Mindy Kaling will not return as Fear and Disgust.
Disney has shared that Tony Hale — who played the Mayor in Hocus Pocus 2 (2022) — will be the new voice of Fear. Liza Lapina, who has a starring role in the show, The Equalizer, will be the voice of Disgust.
We also know that there will be new emotions introduced in the new film, as they become more prominent since Riley is going through puberty. The only new character introduced in the trailer was Anxiety, who is voiced by Stranger Things star Maya Hawke.
However, the rumor is that the new movie will also feature Embarrassment, Enniu, and Envy. Ennui is not a word heard too often, but it is defined as a “feeling of dissatisfaction.” We do not yet know who will be voicing the rest of the sequel film’s new characters.
Inside Out 2 is scheduled to hit theaters nationwide on June 14, 2024. Disney has made some serious changes to its film slate, so Inside Out 2 will be Disney’s first big release of the year.
Both the live-action remake of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs and the Pixar original Elio were supposed to be released earlier in the year, but both of those films have been pushed back to 2025.
