An old Disneyland Resort commercial resurfaced online, which had many fans longing for the “better days” of Disney.
For years now, fans have been yearning for a time they feel is long gone: one where the Disney magic was still alive, well, and thriving. Multiple times over the past years, fans and Disney theme park guests alike have expressed how much they miss how Disney used to be. Some have gone so far as to express the possibility of “boycotting” Disney.
Now, this sentiment has made its presence felt once again with the resurfacing of another older advertisement from 2009.

2009 Disneyland Commercial Has Fans Missing the Magic
In the commercial in question, we see Cruella de Vil, the Queen of Hearts, Maleficient, Jafar, Hades, and many of our other favorite villains all deciding that “Disneyland is ours.”
The villains all make their way to the Southern California Disney resort, enjoying the many rides—Haunted Mansion, Guardians of the Galaxy: MISSION BREAKOUT!, Space Mountain: Ghost Galaxy are special features—for Halloween.
Fans were thrilled to see the commercial pop up again. One shared, “I miss my childhood. Dont you guys?”
Another added, “OLD DISNEY IS BETTER THAN NEW DISNEY ???”

The sentiment was one that was shared among fans. Another shared their thoughts in the same vein, “I miss old Disney even their commercial [is] more entertaining than thier recent movies.”
This said, not every Disney fan feels that the Disney magic is gone. Many fans have come out and branded those who complain about any Disney theme park as “performative,” sharing that those who want to boycott the Walt Disney Company and the Disney Parks (be that Walt Disney World Resort—with its incredible theme parks like Magic Kingdom and Disney’s Animal Kingdom, or the Disneyland Resort).
The commercial has resurfaced at the perfect time, as Halloween comes back around this year.
