In 1994, Home Improvement star Tim Allen donned a red suit and made his way to the North Pole in Disney’s The Santa Clause. The Santa Clause tells the story of Scott Calvin, a selfish toy executive who becomes Santa Claus when he accidentally scares the other Santa off of his roof. The movie was a hit and quickly became a part of almost every Disney fan’s Christmas lineup. Eight years later, Disney released The Santa Clause 2. Then, in 2006, they released the final film in the franchise — The Santa Clause 3: The Escape Clause.

Even though it had been almost 15 years since the last movie came out, fans’ love for the Calvin family and the elves didn’t die down. So, in 2022, Disney released a brand-new series on Disney+, The Santa Clauses. The new series was as successful as the movies and is one of Disney+’s most-watched original series.
The new series followed Scott, his wife Carol, and their two children, Cal and Sandra. In the first season, Scott has spent nearly 30 years bringing joy to children around the world. He is ready to retire and spend more time with his family, and he thinks that he finds that in game designer, Simon Chosky. Unfortunately, things don’t quite work out as Scott had hoped they would, so he becomes Father Christmas once again.

It’s hard to believe, but the Christmas season is almost upon us and that means, The Santa Clauses SEASON 2! Disney has announced that the Calvins will return to Disney+ on November 8! As with the first season, season 2 will start with a two-episode premiere, and then new episodes will drop weekly.
Disney has also shared what we can expect from season 2 — including an amusement park. Scott/Santa is still looking forward to retiring but has decided to keep Christmas in the family. He looks forward to training his son Cal to become the man with the bag.
Per Entertainment Weekly:
So now Scott and the rest of the Calvin clan are back in the Christmas business, and season 2 will therefore involve even more holiday goodness.
