In an incredibly surprising video, Disney Princess Elsa appears to be flipping off a Guest who is filming her from the crowd.
Disney Cast Members are known to be kind, considerate, and the heart of the Disney experience. The training and effort to become a Cast Member are well-known, and knowledge about the intricacies of their roles are well appreciated among fans. However, stories surface every once in a while that question the behaviors of Cast Members. Just recently, we reported on some Cast Members who allegedly pointed and laughed at a disabled Guest who suffered a fall that turned fatal.
While this story is not quite that controversial, one Guest recently shared a video to TikTok wherein Princess Elsa, while on a parade float, seemingly flips off Guests who are in the crowd. It goes without saying that this is most definitely against the policies and expectations that the Walt Disney Company and Walt Disney World Resort have for their Cast Members and how they need to treat Guests.
Check out the video below:
As viewers can see in the video, Elsa is waving and then, with her left hand, appears to flip off the Guests facing that direction. However, it turns out that it’s most likely a trick of the light, and as one Guest commented, “She’s doing her hand position for when she is using her ice powers. It’s a go to hand position for pictures.”
While it turns out all is well with this particular interaction, fellow Disney fans in the comments took the opportunity to make some humorous comments about the situation.
Chris Doades shared, “?The finger never bothered me anyway. ?”
Another fan, Lindsay Janek, also responded humorously, “Elsa’s about to get fired. ?”
While all’s well that ends well in this situation, there have been more cases reported of Guests being underwhelmed with their service at Walt Disney World Resort and Disneyland Resort, with some Guests even complaining Cast Members are being extremely rude. Cast Members have been caught on camera allegedly being rude to children, and one Guest even reported that a Disney Cast Member once yelled at her and accused her of breaking a machine.
It’s important to note that these are one-off situations, and Cast Members are highly trained to provide Guests with the most magical experience possible.
