Walt Disney World Resort is in a constant state of change. There are endless projects among its four theme parks, two water parks, various hotels, and entertainment venues.

The Abandoned Disney Attraction
Much reporting regarding new attractions has been focused on Tiana’s Bayou Adventure at Magic Kingdom Park. However, there’s another major attraction that may be seeing an update.

We are talking about the Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser. The experience, located adjacent to Disney’s Hollywood Studios, took guests on a “cruise ship in outer space.”

The two-day journey also included a “stop” at Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge.
However, the unique offering lasted only a short time. The high price point and lukewarm reviews from guests became too much to overcome. Last year, Walt Disney World Resort was forced to shut the hotel’s doors. Since then, many Disney fans have been curious about its future.
The Future of the Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser
Culture Slate has reported that the attraction may have a future as a set for a Star Wars show or movie.
The Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser already has Star Wars-theming, props, and decor, so it would be an easy transition. The Halcyon also contains an atrium, bridge, bar, dining room, and other areas that could serve as settings for a show on Disney+ (or feature film).

Disney seems to be still leaning into the Star Wars franchise despite many of the new productions receiving fewer and fewer viewers.
While this report from Culture Slate is speculative, it does make sense. Many have wondered whether or not the Galactic Starcruiser could get a 100% overhaul into a different style of hotel themed to Pixar or another intellectual property.

Either way, it seems unlikely that Walt Disney World Resort will let the former Star Wars hotel stay vacant for long.
Disney Parks Chairman Josh D’Amaro confirmed that the company was looking at different options for the defunct attraction. However, Disney has not made any official announcements.
I would stay there if it was a more reasonable price.
