We recently pointed out that Disney seems to be on a roll when it comes to offending Lilo & Stitch fans — and now, these not-so-good times are continuing to roll!

Disney audiences were already alienated — pun intended — by Disney’s plans to make a live-action version of the popular 2002 animated movie about a Hawaiian girl named Lilo and her blue Elvis Presley-loving alien friend Stitch.

Disney exacerbated the problem by casting not one, but two actors in roles that led to some serious “colorism” and “whitewashing” accusations.

Kahiau Machado is playing David Kawena in the new live-action Lilo and Stitch remake that is being directed by Dean Fleischer Camp.

Sydney Elizabeth Agudong was cast as Nani, and Kahiau Machado was cast as Nani’s love interest David Kawena — but because both actors were described as too “light-skinned” by viewers, Disney has been facing some vicious backlash.

We now know the main players who will be taking center stage in the new live-action remake of Lilo & Stitch, but news about some of the much-beloved side characters has also surfaced (including an eyebrow-raising casting choice for the role of the perky alien Pleakley) — and unfortunately, one particularly popular side character has been inexplicably removed from the entire story!

Sydney Elizabeth Adugong is playing Nani opposite newcomer Maia Kealoha as Lilo (and Chris Sanders, back in his Stitch role) in the new version of the Lilo & Stitch Disney film that is being directed by Dean Fleischer Camp.

The scary-looking but somehow lovable child services agent named Cobra Bubbles is being replaced by a similar character called Mrs. Kekoa (who will be voiced by White Lotus and WandaVision star Jolene Purdy).

Disney fans have immediately begun to express their dismay upon hearing this news, revealing their fondness for Cobra Bubbles.

Disney has again worsened the situation by failing to provide a reason for the character’s removal from the entire Lilo & Stitch plot.

“There was nothing wrong with his character,” one Twitter user protested. “Wait? There’s no Bubbles in this? Why the F would I pay to see Lilo and Stitch without the best character?” another former fan furiously wrote.

“The new live action Lilo and Stitch movie is making me so MAD,” another frustrated Lilo & Stitch fan wrote. “HOW CAN YOU CUT OUT BUBBLES?!?!!! THAT WAS THE LAST STRAW.”

Was Cobra Bubbles your favorite Lilo & Stitch character? Why do you think that Disney decided to cut this fan favorite CIA agent from the story?
