While Walt Disney World ride is known to be a place of magic, one attraction left some Guests heaving into trash cans by the end.
The Walt Disney World Resort is known to be the “Most Magical Place on Earth.” Each Theme Park at the Disney Resort— like Disney’s Hollywood Studios or Disney’s Animal Kingdom—is an immersive environment for Guests to take in the Disney experience and feel the Disney magic during their Disney vacation.
One of the most popular rides at Walt Disney World is EPCOT’s Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind. In this ride, Guests can “take off on an intergalactic chase through space and time with the Guardians of the Galaxy.” However, this ride can prove too intense for some riders. Many Guests have reported intense motion sickness on Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind. Walt Disney World quickly installed motion sickness bag stations at the end of the ride.
While its been many months since this attraction first opened in EPCOT (it opened on May 27, 2022), the reports of Guests facing motion sickness during this roller coaster have not reduced by any means. A recent TikTok video illustrates just how useful the trash cans at the end of the ride tend to be for many Guests.
Check it out:
@walruscarp Cosmic Rewind Trashcans are just built different. Protip: don’t sit in rows 7,8,9 or 10 and never ever look at the 🌚 of you get motion sick. #cosmicrewind #epcotrides #walruscarp
As viewers can see, there was some sort of unfortunate “mishap” earlier with towels and cleaning equipment in place around the trash cans, demonstrating just how necessary this addition to the ride has turned out to be. It’s also important to note that these trash cans are open-top, most likely for Guests experiencing motion sickness at the Disney Park ride.
