Disney guests took a moment to share some of the less obvious no-nos for park-goers to remember when at a Disney park.

Going to the Walt Disney World Resort is a dream vacation for many, and this is especially true considering how expensive a Disney vacation has gotten in recent years. In order to make sure that every Disney World visitor can have the Disney World holiday they dream of, there are a few things all guests agree to do to ensure everyone can have a good time.

Recently, some guests took to social media to share some “unspoken” rules every guest must follow, i.e., less shared things that guests should refrain from doing at the parks.

Guests Share Some “Don’t-Dos” at Disney World

There are always the more obvious directives, such as “don’t pick fights,” “don’t yell at cast members,” and “don’t endanger yourself or others in the middle of a ride by exiting it,” that have a tough time being followed by some. However, there are some less serious offenses that can also cause issues at a Disney theme park.

  1. One Reddit user began the conversation by asking, “What are some unspoken rules people don’t realize or just don’t follow?” The OP answered their own question, saying, “if you are walking 3+ people wide I strongly dislike you.”
  2. In a similar vein, others chimed in with the rule of not blocking a pathway that others are walking on: “You do NOT just stop walking in the middle of the path to have a family discussion! For the love of Gods, move to the side.”
  3. A third rule that another guest added was that “…your party does not need to mob the host stands or Lightning Lane entrances to sort matters out.”

4. One guest also took the time to remind Annual Passholders and regulars at Disney World that reciting along with the ride ruins it for everyone else.

They wrote, “It’s always someone’s first time. (More of a reminder for the regulars/APs) I get it, it’s tempting to want to recite the whole dialogue because you love the attraction and this is your hundredth time riding it, but let other guests enjoy it for themselves. Assume there’s always at least one person that is experiencing it for the first time.”

In the midst of this, some guests took the time to recall and poke fun at the situation that arose recently at EPCOT, when a guest cussed out fellow visitors, and members of his group used homophobic slurs as well.

The guest commented, “Don’t lie about your college football career while being filmed being a monumental douchebag after cutting in line for Soarin.”

  1. Wait times for shows or parades can be long. After I have spent quite a while doing so I will not be moving to accommodate someone who hasn’t put in the time, even for children.
