One of the best times of year to visit Walt Disney World Resort is during the holiday season. The theme parks, Disney Resort Hotels, and Disney Springs are all decorated to the hilt. Guests can head into EPCOT and indulge in amazing holiday dishes from around the world at Disney’s International Festival of Holidays. Over at the Magic Kingdom, Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party is always a hit with those who want to immerse themselves in everything Christmas.

This year, Disney World is expanding its holiday celebration with a brand-new offering at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Jollywood Nights will take place on select nights, beginning November 11 and ending December 20. The hard-ticketed event will include a ton of great experiences, like a DJ playing fun Christmas music, a Latin festival, a speakeasy over at The Hollywood Brown Derby, and a hauntingly gorgeous lounge at Tower of Terror.

There will even be a fun, new show with Miss Piggy, Kermit, and The Muppets! And don’t forget to hit up Disney’s PhotoPass Photographers during the event. There will be two new PhotoPass spots, as well as a number of holiday-themed Magic Shots. Tickets to Jollywood Nights include unlimited PhotoPass downloads.

Jollywood Nights was advertised as a nighttime event for both adults and kids. However, during a recent news segment, it was referred to as “adults only” and “for grown-ups.”

The fact that Good Morning America billed the event as adults-only, and it was seemingly confirmed by a Disney spokesperson, surprised many. The Walt Disney World Resort website allows guests to purchase adult tickets or tickets for children aged three to ten. It also notes that children under 3 will be able to get into the event for free.

Here’s more on Jollywood Nights from Disney Parks Blog:

Get ready to dress in your holiday glam best or festive flair, dance the night away to merry mashups, indulge in divine treats and bubbling spirits, and snap selfies with iconic characters during this new festive event. For an extra dose of cheer, the party wraps with the return of the nighttime spectacular, “Jingle Bell, Jingle BAM!” You’ll be in fa la la la la la la la land before you can say Tinseltown!

Now, it should be noted that, unlike Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, Jollywood Nights does look like it is advertised to an older crowd. Disney is pushing the glitz and glam of old Hollywood for the event. Disney is also encouraging guests who are of age to indulge in gourmet cocktails that will bring a festive twist to an already delicious cocktail.
