Disney Movie Magic is Returning Soon to Disney’s Hollywood Studios!

The Disney Parks Blog just shared an update on entertainment offerings at the resort, and one of the highlights is the return of Disney Movie Magic to Disney’s Hollywood Studios! This celebration of Disney films is a projection show that debuted on the facade of the replica of Grauman’s Chinese Theater at Disney’s Hollywood Studios in 2017 is now set to return to the park on November 7, 2021.

The projection mapping technology featured in Disney Movie Magic is truly state of the art, and while we are still waiting on the return of Fantasmic and perhaps fireworks at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, Guests will surely be thrilled to have some nighttime entertainment returning to the park.

The last version of Disney Movie Magic included footage and characters from hit live action Disney films like Mary Poppins, Pirates of the Caribbean, Indiana Jones, and Guardians of the Galaxy and many more. Disney also revealed in their announcement today that brand new footage from the live action Mulan movie will be included in the latest version of the show beginning November 7.

The news of Disney Movie Magic’s return follows the recent announcement that the Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular will also be back at Disney’s Hollywood Studios starting December 19, 2021. The park, along with the Magic Kingdom, will also be welcoming back character meet and greets. While still modified, these returning meet and greets will allow Guests closer access to the characters than the current flotillas and character cavalcades, and are set to include meets with Minnie Mouse at Red Carpet Dreams and stars from Disney Junior in Animation Courtyard. In the Magic Kingdom, princesses will soon be returning to Princess Fairytale Hall in Fantasyland and Mickey Mouse will be back in Town Square Theater, dressed in his EARidescent celebration best.

Additional entertainment has already been returning to other Walt Disney World theme parks too, with the return of the Matsuriza Taiko Drummers in the Japan pavilion in EPCOT, Alberta Bound at the Canada pavilion stage, and Sergio the juggler in the Italy pavilion. In the Magic Kingdom, we have also seen the return of the Let the Magic Begin welcome show which opens the park to Guests each morning, and the piano player located at Casey’s Corner on Main Street U.S.A.
