The current state of the iconic and soon-to-be-rethemed attraction “Splash Mountian” to “Tiana’s Bayou Adventure” has been revealed.
Fans worldwide flock to the Disney Parks to get their fill of the Disney magic. Whichever Theme Park you choose, Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, Disney’s Animal Kingdom, Disneyland Park or Disney California Adventure, the Walt Disney World Resort and the Disneyland Resort are known for their immersive Disney experience that Guests know and love.
A huge part of this immersive experience are the incredible rides on offer at the Disney Parks. Of all of these, few are as beloved as Splash Mountain. This attraction has been around for over three decades but will finally be shutting shop to make way for a new attraction—Tiana’s Bayou Adventure.
Recently, the Twitter account @bioreconstruct took to the platform to share an aerial photo of the attraction, as it heads into its final days.

Through 2023 Disney fans will follow the remodeling progress with rapt attention to see how Disney handles the dismantling of Splash Mountain and the installation of Tiana’s Bayou Adventure. Earlier this year, at D23 Expo 2022, Disney gave us concept art and scale models of the upcoming attraction set to open in 2024.
With less than a month left for Guests to enjoy this iconic ride (despite its many hiccups) here’s what Walt Disney World says about Splash Mountain:
Gently drift through a colorful Southern bayou along with happy-go-lucky Br’er Rabbit as he looks for his “laughing place.” But be warned: Br’er Bear and Br’er Fox are in hot pursuit of this wayward hare.
Glide by over 100 adorable Audio-Animatronics geese, frogs, raccoons, possums, bees, alligators and other down-home critters as they sing classic Disney ditties, including “Zip-a-Dee-Doo-Dah” and “Ev’rybody’s Got a Laughing Place.”
Then hang on to your hats—this delightful musical cruise ends in an exciting 5-story splashdown into a thorny Briar Patch!
We at Disney Fanatic will continue to report on all Disney news as it comes to light.
