Starring the talents of Ariana DeBose as Asha, Chris Pine as King Magnifico, and Alan Tudyk as the goat Valentino, the film hopes for a stellar Thanksgiving weekend at the box office.

It tells the story of 17-year-old Asha, who is chosen to be the king’s apprentice, only to find out he is hoarding the wishes of the kingdom’s citizens.

Many Disney productions have not made a profit over the past couple of years. Obviously, Disney hopes this film is the exception, but we will have to wait and see.

The movie is directed by Chris Buck, who worked on the two Frozen films and Fawn Veerasunthorn, who worked on Raya and the Last Dragon (2021). Regardless of its impact at the box office, Disney isn’t holding anything back in terms of promoting the movie.

As any Disney Fanatic knows, Disney often releases a new refillable (and collectible) popcorn bucket every couple of weeks or months. These usually tie into an upcoming movie, seasonal celebration, or an anniversary.

This newest creation is modeled after Valentino. It depicts a mischievous-looking Valentino as he sits. Popcorn can be filled through his back, and the bucket comes with a carrying strap. In the new movie, Valentino is voiced by Alan Tudyk, who has been involved with multiple animated Disney movies in the past.

Disney has also announced a sipper cup featuring Star from the Wish movie that will debut today as well. Just as with the popcorn bucket, it will feature a matching strap.

These offerings featuring Disney Wish characters will also be available at Walt Disney World Resort in Central Florida.

Steven

Steven has a complicated relationship with Disney. As a child, he visited Walt Disney World every few years with his family. But he never understood why kids his age (and older) were so scared of Snow White or Alien Encounter. He is a former participant of the Disney College Program (left early…long story), and he also previously worked in Children’s publishing, where he adapted multiple Disney movies and TV shows. He has many controversial opinions about Disney…like having a positive view of Michael Eisner, believing Return of the Jedi is superior to The Empire Strikes Back, and that Toy Story Land and Galaxy’s Edge should have never been built (at least not at Hollywood Studios). Every year for the past two decades, Steven has visited either Walt Disney World, Disneyland, Aulani or went on a Disney Cruise. He’s happy to share any and all knowledge of the Disney destinations (and he likes using parenthesis a lot…as well as ellipses…)
