When you first watch a new animated Disney movie, it can all be a bit of a blur. The colorful animation from Walt Disney Animation Studios, the music (by composers and playwrights like Lin-Manuel Miranda), and the heartwarming plots can all make it hard to notice the little details that Disney animated movies are famous for. But now that Disney fans have had time to watch Disney’s newest animated film Encanto, which premiered in November and just premiered on Disney+ on Christmas Eve, there are some Easter eggs and hidden gems that the viewers have noticed in the Disney movie!

If you haven’t seen Encanto yet, go ahead and watch it now. We’ll wait. Then come back and check out this fun fact that Disney fans have noticed about Mirabel Madrigal’s Uncle Bruno (voiced by John Leguizamo)! In the movie, the Madrigal family has been gifted unique powers after they were blessed by a magical candle. Every member of the family has a special power, except for the youngest girl Mirabel. Mirabel feels like the black sheep of the family, until the Madrigal family’s magic is threatened and she has to save the day!

Mirabel’s Uncle Bruno had the power to see the future, and he disappeared after his power made the family unhappy. Spoiler alert, though: in the movie, Mirabel discovers that Bruno never actually left! He’s been living in the walls of the casita, hiding after he saw a troubling vision about Mirabel. Bruno knew that the vision would turn the other Madrigal family members against Mirabel, so he chose to stay hidden in an effort to protect her.

Once Disney fans watched the movie Encanto more than once, they noticed that Bruno actually shows up earlier in the movie than expected! During the catchy song “We Don’t Talk About Bruno” when the family members are telling Mirabel about her uncle, Bruno is actually in the background dancing along to the tune. He can be seen clearly during the part of the song that Dolores sings; watch closely in the video below, and you’ll see him first sneak along the balustrade of the casita and then dance in time to Dolores’ verse! Can you see him?

Encanto has been met with positive reviews from both audiences and critics, and details like this Easter egg (combined with lively music and vibrant animation) make it particularly special. The film was also just nominated for a whopping nine Annie Awards, including Best Voice Acting by John Leguizamo!
