The 2022 Disney Legend honorees have just been announced, and fans of the kingdom of Arendelle will be particularly excited. Not one, but four Frozen actors are about to become Disney Legends!

Some Disney fans might actually just be surprised to hear that it has taken Disney so long to transform the Frozen voiceover cast into Disney Legends., considering how successful the Frozen franchise has been since the first Frozen movie premiered in 2012.
Fans will be particularly surprised to learn that Idina Menzel was not already a Disney Legend, since the Broadway performer and famous singer’s power ballad “Let It Go” turned both her and her character Elsa into icons back in 2012.
Kristen Bell has steadily grown into a fan favorite after playing Elsa’s cheerful sister Anna in the Frozen films; the perky actress has been in plenty of lighthearted shows like The Good Place, as well as some darker projects, but she is known for her singing and her relatable offscreen persona.
Jonathan Groff might not be as famous as the two actresses who voiced Disney princesses in the Frozen movies, but he plays the films’ version of a Disney prince. Groff voices Kristoff, Anna’s endearing and sardonic love interest, and the Broadway performer also voices Kristoff’s friend Sven (who happens to be a reindeer). Some fans of Groff might also recognize him as the villainous King George from Hamilton; he originated the role opposite Lin-Manuel Miranda!
Josh Gad is the final Frozen actor becoming a Disney Legend at this year’s D23 Expo — and Josh Gad’s status as a Disney Legend Awards recipient will not be surprising to anyone, considering how prolific the actor is and how committed he has been to his involvement with Disney.
Josh Gad’s role as Olaf the snowman brought his fame to a whole new level — as did his role as LeFou in the 2017 live-action version of Beauty and the Beast — but the actor’s continued presence in Disney Parks at Walt Disney World Resort and his clear admiration for all things Disney makes him a shoo-in for a Disney Legend Award.
It has not been confirmed that all four Frozen actors are going to appear together, in person, at the D23 Expo — but we can certainly hope so! If they do appear together to accept their awards, it would be the perfect time for Disney to announce Frozen 3 (which we already know Kristen Bell and Idina Menzel are both on board to star in again), so our fingers will be crossed!
